DEBATE
Women, Leadership and Sports
Presented by Hart House Debates Committee
Details: Female participation in sports has increased markedly since the 1980’s. However, the number of women in leadership positions within sports has been in decline since the the same time. Indeed, statistics
suggest that we are moving backwards in terms of women's representation in both coaching and sports administration. What can be done to generate more female involvement in leadership roles within sports? What are some of the barriers, and what can we do to overcome them? Join our speakers for a panel discussion on the status and future of women and leadership in Canadian sports.
