New Classes for Spring

This March, you can step up your evening routine with Step Beyond at a new time on Fridays at 5:30 pm. Or try one of our brand new classes:

Interval Challenge Circuit: Tues., 7:10 pm

A fast-paced, intense workout targets the whole body, incorporating strength training, cardio, core work and flexibility. Bursts of cardio and strength exercises are followed by brief rest periods that provide more results in less time!

Sharing Dance: Thurs., 5 pm

Get ready for the nation’s biggest dance party to celebrate Canada 150. Join our practice sessions, learn the choreography and be ready for Sharing Dance Canada 2017! These drop-in classes are offered by Hart House in partnership with Canada’s National Ballet School (NBS).

Zumba: Thurs., 7:10 pm

Now you can Zumba all day long! In addition to our 11:10 am class, we’ve added a second class with Sameer Ratti on Thursday nights. Sameer is an occupational therapy student and  a certified Zumba instructor.

Facility News

Normal operations today.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The North Door to the Fitness Centre will reopen for the spring on Monday, April 3, 2017.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Due to the project replacing ageing mechanical equipment serving the Justina M Barnicke Gallery, there will be ongoing, intermittent closures of Tower Road, to vehicular traffic. Crane operations will continue on Wednesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 27th (between 6 am and 3 pm), to remove old equipment and place new equipment. Pedestrian and bicycle access will be permitted (with brief stoppages during crane operation).  Please also note that while the accessible entry ramp will remain open, vehicular access to the ramp will be restricted.  Vehicles may make drop-offs and pick-ups either on the south side of the Tower or mid-way down Tower Road.  The North Entrance will remain open during this time. Our apologies for the inconvenience, but if all goes well, normal service will resume by Thursday afternoon.
