Documentary Photography - 4699
Description: Documentary photography is a vast and fascinating field. This class will give students the opportunity to study a range of approaches to creating narrative photographic works. Each week we will study projects by notable documentary photographers focusing on different themes. Subject matter, cultural context and aesthetic sensibilities will be considered. Weekly assignments related to these themes will give students the opportunity to take the ideas discussed in class and create their own work.
