Picture of U of T Jazz OrchestraDetails: The University of Toronto Jazz Orchestra conducted by Gordon Foote grabs the spotlight in this throwback to big band sound. Gordon spent 26 years as a professor in the Jazz Studies Program at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, in Montreal, Quebec. He is one of the pioneers of jazz education in Canada and an integral force in the development and implementation of the first undergraduate and graduate university jazz studies programs in the country. Students in the jazz program show off their chops and delight crowds under Professor Foote’s skilled leadership.
